Mike Gillett is a real estate, land use, and environmental lawyer based
in Seattle, Washington. For more than 25 years, Mike has
assisted a variety of clients, ranging from small
businesses to Fortune 500 companies. These include real
estate developers, homeowners, energy companies,
timberland owners, water system operators, farmers,
ranchers, food processors, community groups, trade
associations, and others. Mike’s clients are located on
both sides of the Cascades, making him familiar with the
courts in Eastern Washington and those in the Puget
Sound region.
In 2005, Mike opened The Gillett Law Firm to focus on
his clients’ property needs. These include traditional
real estate matters, such as the purchase and sale of
land, adverse possession, boundary line adjustments, and
condemnation actions. Mike also helps his clients with
their land use, natural resource and environmental
needs. Whether seeking a conditional use permit from the
building department, negotiating the transfer of water
rights, or bringing a lawsuit to recover environmental
cleanup costs from responsible parties, Mike Gillett
contributes value to his clients’ property and their
ability to use that property.
Mike’s approach to his clients’ needs is expressed by
the slogan, legal resources for your land, water and
natural resources. Working with his clients, he is
committed to achieving their objectives on a timeline
and within a budget that meets their needs.
Complementing his primary focus on real estate, land
use and environmental law, Mike also has had the
opportunity over the years to help several clients who
are having disputes with their insurance coverage –
including coverage for environmental liabilities.
